PERHENTIAN ISLANDS MALAYSIA

PERHENTIAN ISLANDS
MALAYSIA

Perhentians are located in the northeastern part of Malaysia.

The islands have no roads, the only transport is by boat or walkways through rein-forest. The jungle is full of life, birds, monkeys, monitor lizards usually found on beaches climb trees and rest on branches. A walk through the jungle is an awesome experience.

Wildlife is not the only attraction of the Perhentians. The islands are surrounded by crystal clear water and the underwater world is thriving with colorful fish, turtles and coral reefs. There is a Turtle Conservation area on Perhentian Besar.

Snorkeling and diving are an absolute must. The experience is unique.

The clarity of the water and the underwater treasures of the Perhentians are among the best in the world.

The islands are close to the border with Thailand and many of Thai influences spice up the cuisine and life in general. Full Moon parties are imported from Thailand and the nightlife is roaring at Long Beach on Perhentian Kecil. However, there are also many places of peace and quiet for the nature lovers.

Boat trips around the islands offer fabulous scenery, swimming of remote beaches Robinson Crusoe style. The islands can be accessed only by ferry. Perhentians are unequalled gems in the ocean, an absolute Eden of Malaysia.
